Summary

In this section we learned a lot about the sea and its influence on our country. We saw how the sea featured in the earliest Celtic mythology, how the early Irish people traded by sea and how famous Irish monks went on explorations.

The sea also allowed others to invade the country and their influence is with us until this day.

His section also told us about some famous Irish sailors and about the terrible impact of the Famine

Finally we learned something about the special connections between Ireland and Newfoundland.
